Jani-King of New Orleans Takes Off with Airport Signing
Jani-King of New Orleans is proud to announce that they are the janitorial service of choice for Louis Armstrong International Airport, which took effect on December 24, 2011. With the successful signing and start-up of this account, Jani-King of New Orleans has the opportunity to make an outstanding impression on those that fly in and out of “The Crescent City”, while also effectively promoting the Jani-King brand.
Located in Jefferson Parish, LA, the Louis Armstrong International Airport is the primary commercial airport for the New Orleans metropolitan area and southeast Louisiana. Serving as a gateway to the city, the airport services over 700,000 passengers per month. It is comprised of three concourses, a main terminal, and baggage claim and curb side areas, which are all under the scope of Jani-King of New Orleans work. In addition to these areas, the cleaning crew will have access to the working areas for the TSA, New Orleans Aviation Board Staff, Jefferson Parish Sheriffs’ office, as well as several other facilities.
Heading up the exciting venture is Regional Vice President, Eastern Division of Jani-King Gulf Coast, John O’Neil. “We have been working on securing a partnership with the airport for more than three years. Being a marquis facility in the city of New Orleans, we have always had our eye on them.”
Along with O’Neil, several people were instrumental in making the signing with the airport a possibility. DJ Woolf, Airport Project Manager for Jani-King Gulf Coast, brings considerable expertise from his extensive career in the janitorial industry. Woolf was supported by Michael Layelle, Operations Advisor, Jani-King of New Orleans, who, during this process, performed above and beyond all expectations. Lastly, Tony Monk, Jani-King of New Orleans Franchise Owner, used his expertise in floor care to begin to give a face lift to the beloved Louisiana landmark.
“In any business you have to have the ability to connect with people,” O’Neil explains when thinking upon what it took in order to make this signing a success. “I think this is one our strong points.” Along with those assets, O’Neil goes on further to explain, “the great thing about Jani-King is we have a wealth of resources to lean on.” With the resources that the Jani-King system supplies, O’Neil says “to that end, I cannot take sole credit for anything we accomplish. We have an awesome team and great leadership in the Gulf Coast regions.”
