The awards achieved by Jani-King of Brazil in the 2014 FIFA World Cup opened many eyes to the company’s expertise in stadium cleaning. In all, Jani-King of Brazil received four awards, from FIFA and Hospitality Match, for the best service provider in the stadiums in which franchisees serviced, including the legendary stadium of Maracaña.
Now, Jani-King of Brazil has signed a contract for the cleaning of the hospitality boxes in the Olympic Stadium Nilton Santos in Rio de Janeiro. Better known as Engenhão, it is the home of Botafogo Football Club, a very traditional and important local team.
The stadium was originally built for the Pan American Games in 2007 and is considered to be the most modern in Latin America and the fifth most modern in the world.
In addition to the football pitch, 105 x 68 metres of natural grass, there is an athletic track and jumping area as well as a training pitch.
The Stadium Nilton Santos has a capacity for 46,000 spectators with plans to increase capacity to 60,000 for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.
“Our intention is to consolidate the presence of Jani-King in the stadium market which has immense potential in Brazil. To support us in our goal we rely on our worldwide experience and the local experience which we are always building,” explained Christian Rojas, Director of Jani-King of Brazil.
