executives gathered in North Carolina to assess our regions’
previous six-month performance, as well as the strategic business
plans geared towards year-end success. To ‘Finish Strong,’ was
top-of-mind during the 3-day meeting. Being an open-forum event,
attendees had an opportunity to discuss various aspects of
business and share their experiences and advice.
Kicking off the meeting, Chief Operating Officer, Chance Enmon,
shared his thoughts on company performance and his vision of how
we intend to finish out the year with strength and momentum.
“These past six months have been tremendous for Jani-King Gulf
Coast, however we need to finish strong,” said Enmon. “We can’t
be satisfied with the success we’ve achieved thus far. Midway
through the year is the time to refocus our energy on our
franchise owners, their business, and new business. It’s not how
you start – it’s how you finish.”
Also in attendance were Jani-King of Augusta President, Rich
Henderson, along with his wife Rhonda. Hoping to gain new insight
to benefit their region, Mr. and Mrs. Henderson soon found
themselves consumed by the event. We’re always thinking of new
ways to improve efficiencies and eliminate shortfalls –
ultimately building better franchise owners. The bottom line is
that our franchise owners are the lifeblood of this business and
we are obligated to give them our very best.
Throughout the duration of the meeting, each Regional Director
presented an ‘Executive Summary,’ which highlighted their
regions’ 6-month performance and strategies for tackling the
second half of the year. “This is the part of the meeting where
we peel everything back and take a raw look at each regional
office,” said Gulf Coast Executive Director, Al Hebert. “Nothing
is sugar-coated here – as we believe that you have to be willing
to openly discuss every aspect of the day-to-day operations of
our regional offices to improve. This raw approach reveals real
results and I’m proud of our Regional Directors for their candor
and positive outlook.”
The open-forum style of meeting helped shed light on many areas
of Jani-King business. These areas varied from Operations and
Franchise Support, to Recruiting, Communications, and Accounting
– just to name a few. Each attendee was presented with a meeting
binder, which contained all the materials covered throughout the
3-day event. Over the years, these materials have proved to serve
our Regional Directors well, as they take them to their regional
offices to implement. “I’m encouraged to see how our executives
are committing themselves to our franchise owners,” said
President and CEO, Tom Enmon. “This leadership is what sets the
tone for all of our regions and I’m thrilled to hear this
forward-thinking approach.”
There were also great discussions about the role of each
Franchise Coach, and their bond with our franchise owners. Being
consistent in our support is crucial to the development of our
franchise owners and their businesses.
Keeping our franchise owners at the forefront of our regional
planning starts with leadership. “Our Regional Director’s have
been pushed to set growth points for their regions,” said Chance
Enmon. “These growth points set the bar for our success and JJ
O’Neil has done exceptionally well to keep everyone on point. I
am proud of his leadership and the structured approach he’s taken
with our Regional Directors.”
Overall, the meeting provided a great snapshot of our mid-year
success. These next 6 months have the potential of being our best
yet, however we must collectively finish strong. Everyone in the
Jani-King Gulf Coast family must adopt
and live by those words; finish strong.
