Cleaning the Nation’s Capital
2016 marked Jani-King’s third year as a Clean the Capital participant. The Ottawa tradition involves volunteer individuals and organizations picking up litter, removing graffiti, and keeping Canada’s capital looking its best!
The weather didn’t hold out this year as well as years past – wind and rain made the day’s activities a little colder and muddier than usual. Our team, however, came prepared and was happy to spend the afternoon outdoors. Our shoes need a good cleaning and we could all use a hot shower, but we are proud to help in our community however we can.
This year we received a visit from Elizabeth from the Clean the Capital office. She was kind enough to bring us T-shirts, stickers, Tim’s cards and more.
Clean the Capital’s spring and fall clean ups are annual events, with the spring cleaning coinciding with Earth Day. Register your team for upcoming clean ups, or participate with Jani-King!
