Joining Jani-King in July of 2018, William Sims is a strategic sales consultant with over 15 years of experience working with hundreds of companies within the Fortune 1000. After graduating college, he started work in New York City at a family run executive search firm where he both sold and provided services to executives at some of the largest companies in the US for director level and above positions. After successfully opening and running that company’s Denver office, a $3B retailer recruited William to run talent acquisition to focus on hiring over 15,000 people every year. He replaced and enhanced technology, built pipelines of talent ahead of the hiring curve, implemented analytics around talent acquisition, built a college recruiting program, and social media strategy.
6 years ago one of his vendor partners courted him to manage national accounts for its Denver office. While there William identified gaps in operational process, technology, and resources – specifically on how to leverage them most effectively for companies like Starbucks, Davita, Microsoft, Columbia, Chipotle and Vail Resorts. While in this role, he sold the largest software deal in the company’s history.
He was quickly promoted to run the software division implementing new technology through best practices, consulting sessions and sales strategies for the East Coast Division where he grew the business over 30% for two consecutive years. As the Director of Solutions Architects, William developed sales operations, strategy, collateral and tactical programs to hit goals for the $438 million dollar talent acquisition business unit. His experience is multi-industry, cross-functional and focused on removing barriers to achieve corporate initiatives.
