Karlie Is Killing It!
Our Franchise Owner spotlight is on a 30-year-old full-time mom and franchise owner from South Louisiana, Ms. Karlie Adams. In between managing the day-to-day operations of her business, she still finds the time to be a volunteer firefighter and the coach of her daughters’ t-ball team.
Karlie’s journey as a Franchise Owner began by purchasing an existing franchise at the age of eighteen. As a second-generation franchise owner, she was able to learn a lot from her parents, who were already well established and very successful Franchise Owners. The lessons learned proved to be invaluable on her road to success, with the key being how to better set herself apart as a franchise owner. Karlie has now had 11 years of experience under her belt, and her continued success is a direct reflection of those lessons learned. Her favorite part of being a franchise owner is being hands-on with her employees and customers. She takes pride in being able to create jobs within her community and give people the opportunity to better provide for their families. Karlie attributes her continued success to focusing on customer service, employee development and retention, and building not only her franchise, but the Jani-King Gulf Coast Brand.
Jimmy Horton, Regional Director of Jani-King of South Louisiana, said, “Being the daughter of one of the most successful franchise owners in the entire Gulf Coast, it would be easy for Karlie to have her dad’s shadow cast over her. Karlie has evolved into much more than “Karl’s daughter,” and she now casts a powerful shadow of her own. Her ability to cultivate relationships with customers is second to none. Every contact of every account knows her on a first-name basis, and upon seeing her interact with her contacts, you can immediately see the level of comfort they have with her. Karlie is always making herself available to her customers, and she’s quick to resolve any issue that may arise. She’s a consummate professional. I could go on about the intangibles Karlie possesses and what she brings to the table that makes her special. What sticks out the most about Karlie is her drive to go the extra mile to make sure the Jani-King brand remains at the top. There isn’t a Franchise Owner in the entire Gulf Coast that does more for the other franchise owners – not just in her region, but in the Gulf Coast as a whole. Karlie gives up her free time each month to attend Franchise Training in Ponchatoula to educate new Franchise Owners on what it takes to be successful and the tools in place to help them run their businesses. It’d be hard to find a Franchise Owner that waves the Jani-King banner higher and prouder than Karlie. She’s a great ambassador for our brand and South Louisiana is extremely proud to call her one of our own. ”
She says, “Being a franchise owner takes hard work and dedication, but the corporate and regional offices provide all the right tools to give each franchisee the opportunity to be successful. Follow the Jani-King program; it works, and it sets us apart from our competition. As a young woman committing to being a full-time franchise owner for the remainder of my career, I strive to be the best solution for janitorial needs in South Louisiana.”
