Vancouver, BC: What better way to kick-off the school year than to spend the evening running drills with a local CFL and Minor Football teams? That’s what more than 150 parents and children did earlier this month at Jani-King of Vancouver-Fraser Valleys third annual Family Day.
The Jani-King team, in partnership with the BC Lions and Richmond Minor Football, were excited for this year’s event which brought together local families and CFL players in an evening of fun and activity.
Kids had the opportunity to run drills with BC Lion Eric Taylor, and fellow teammates: Defensive Lineman, Khreem Smith, Starting Kick Returner, Tim Brown and Stefan Logan, Kick Returns and Running Back. Topping of the event were a variety of football themes activities including a bouncy castle and obstacle course.
“ There were smiles all around,” said Kevin Joyce, Vice-President of Jani-King of Vancouver-Fraser Valley. “ For the third year in a row we are humbled by the number of people who come together to make this event possible. How many times in your life will you get the chance to race a famous athlete through an obstacle course, and practice drills with a pro? We are so pleased to be part of such a great event.”
