Today the Salt Lake Organizing Committee for the Winter Olympic Games of 2002 (SLOC) announces that Jani-King International, the world’s leading commercial cleaning franchise company, has been awarded an additional cleaning contract to service the Northgate Apartment complex during the Winter Games. Jani-King is also providing housekeeping services for over 3,500 athletes and staff at the Olympic and Para-Olympic Villages.
“With an event of this magnitude we looked to Jani-King to provide a turn key management package,” said SLOC director, Mario Gonzalez. Jani-King Hospitality Director Doug Hickfang added, “This is much more than just a housekeeping services contract. We are very excited about showing the world that our franchise owners are up to this challenging task.”
Northgate is a new luxury apartment complex adjacent to the new Gateway Mall. The 350,000 sq. foot buildings will be housing news crews and personnel from NBC and the EBU (European Broadcast Union) throughout the Games. After the completion of the Games, the 432 luxury apartments will be released for rent.
